Dr. Smartt is a board certified Family Medicine physician bringing primary care to the families of McMinnville and the surrounding communities. She welcomes patients of all ages - from the very oldest to the very youngest. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology (along with a Bachelor of Arts in History) from the University of Tennessee (Go Vols). She earned her medical degree from the University of Medicine and Health Sciences – St. Kitts.

 

Dr. Smartt returned to Middle Tennessee after completing the Internal Medicine internship and residency program at Broward Health Medical Center (Fort Lauderdale). She continued her training by completing the UT-Nashville Family Medicine residency program in Murfreesboro.

 

Prior to establishing Smartt Family Medicine, Dr. Smartt practiced in hospital-owned clinics, and most recently with the Veterans Administration. In addition, she has served as the Medical Director for a long term care facility. Dr. Smartt is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Smartt is a native of Warren County. She makes her home in McMinnville along with her husband and children.
